Description
Sugar Baby Watermelon is juicy, sweet, and extremely productive.. They’re tolerant to the Humid Heat of the Summer, Heirloom, and naturally resistant to many diseases.
Start Sugar Baby Watermelons after the threat of the last frost has passed. Grown during the Spring and Summer, watermelons will be harvested in the Late Summer/Fall.
Plant in well-drained soil, make sure that plant is well-watered. For best results, make a small mound of dirt, then plant watermelon (seed or starter plant) on the top of the mound. This encourages healthy growth of the vines. Make sure that there is plenty of room for the vines to grow!
Watermelon Vines tend to be very thirsty, so make sure to keep them well watered. During the peak of the Summer Heat, make sure that the watermelon vines are watered daily.
When Watermelon bottoms begin to turn yellow, they’re ready to be harvested.
