Description

Romaine Lettuce was originally named “Roman Lettuce” because it was one of the most cherished leafy staples of the Roman Empire. The seeds are very small, so it is recommended to barely covered with soil. For best results, sprinkle a light layer of soil on top of them. Less is more. Do not sow seeds any deeper than the length of the seed itself.

Romaine Lettuce has two growing seasons in Georgia. The Spring Season Crop, where Romaine Lettuce is started in Winter/Early Spring and harvested into the Late Spring and Early Summer. The Fall Season Crop, where Romaine Lettuce is started in Summer/Late Summer and harvested into the Early Winter.

Romaine Lettuce thrives between the temperatures of 35 degrees and 75 degrees. It is frost tolerant, surviving temperatures as low as 20 degrees. Lettuce can handle warm temperatures during the day (low to mid 80’s), as long as temperatures at night remain cooler.

Seed Pack contains 300+ Seeds.
