Description

Florida Broadleaf Mustard is an old Southern Favorite! When the leaves are tender add them to a salad or sandwich, adding that peppery mustard kick. As Mustard plants mature the leaves thicken. Add them to soups, greens, and stews enhancing the flavor of any culinary creation.

Mustard has two growing seasons in Georgia. The Spring Season Crop, where Mustard is started in Winter/Early Spring and harvested into the Late Spring and Early Summer. The Fall Season Crop, where Mustard is started in Summer/Late Summer and harvested into the Early Winter.

Expect plants to reach a height of about 1 foot and a width of up to 2 feet. When harvesting Mustard, make sure not to harvest any more than 1/3 of the plant at one time (harvest outer, older leaves first). This will keep the plant stress-free, vibrant and vigorously growing. Mustard thrives between the temperatures of 40 degrees and 80 degrees. It is frost tolerant, surviving temperatures as low as 25 degrees. Typically, Mustard does not survive hard freezes.

Seed Pack contains 300+ Seeds.

Lettuce is a great source for Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Potassium, Fiber, and much more!
