Georgia has two Growing Seasons: The Warm Season (Planting in the Spring, Harvesting into Summer) and The Cool Season (Planting in the Summer, Harvesting into Winter).
Warm Season
The Warm Season begins after the last frost, typically coinciding with the beginning of Spring. It may come a bit before the beginning of Spring in Southern Georgia, but in Northern and Central Georgia, the Warm Growing Season typically begins with the Spring (or a little after).
Planting begins after the threat of frost has passed, then crops are harvested during the Summer.
